why giving matters

Health should not be a privilege and your zip code should not determine your lifespan. For many community residents there are tremendous barriers to achieving Total Health and Wellness.

BMS has been a leader in developing innovative programs in partnership with community residents and stakeholders to improve health outcomes for the  families we serve.

BMS acted early at the outset of COVID-19 to advocate for testing in our community given our intimate awareness of the potential impact in a community burdened by high rates of chronic illness. In our primary service area, East New York (zip code 11207) had the highest mortality rates in NYC during Spring 2020
