Behavioral Health is available for all BMS patients. We coordinate your care and service. Our social workers work closely with your doctors and external medical or social service providers to provide comprehensive care and services for you and your family. Our social workers will ensure that you receive the proper care or service.
INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING:
Sometimes you may feel stressed due to various life circumstances and would like to speak with someone. Our individual and family supportive counseling enhance your ability to cope with your problems (e.g. stress from a current medical condition, relationship problems).
APPLY FOR PUBLIC INSURANCE AND GOVERNMENT'S BENEFITS:
Your access to health care is our top priority! If you are uninsured or underinsured, we can provide the necessary assistance to help you obtain government medical insurance if you are eligible. Assistance with applying for other government benefits is also available for our patients as needed.
ADVOCACY:
Your service needs are to be met and should not be limited due to language, physical, cognitive, or other limitations. Our social workers will advocate on your behalf to ensure proper treatment and services are delivered and received if appropriate. Linkage to Service or Resources: Referral service is available for our patients who have financial, homecare, housing, developmental, educational, emotional, and other social service needs.
